Systemic healing peptide that promotes tissue regeneration body-wide.
TB-500 is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring peptide Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), specifically the active fragment responsible for actin-binding and tissue repair. Tβ4 is found in virtually every cell in the human body, with the highest concentrations in wound fluid and healing tissue.
Unlike many peptides that require injection near the injury site, TB-500's mechanism of action appears to be systemic — meaning it can be injected anywhere (typically subcutaneously in the abdomen) and still produce effects at distant sites of injury or inflammation.
TB-500 works by upregulating actin, a protein involved in cell building and movement. This accelerates the migration of cells to wound sites, promotes the formation of new blood vessels, and reduces inflammation. It has also shown neuroprotective effects and potential benefits for cardiac repair.
Systemic healing of muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries. Works at sites distant from injection.
Multiple animal studies; popular in veterinary medicine for race horses
Accelerated wound closure and reduced scarring through enhanced cell migration.
Well-documented in preclinical studies
Post-cardiac event healing. Some research on cardiac muscle repair.
Early-stage human research; strong animal data
May support recovery from neural injury and TBI.
Preclinical data; limited human evidence
We rate every peptide honestly across four dimensions — and tell you what it's not.
Evidence Profile
Strong preclinical wound-healing data and a clear actin mechanism, but human evidence is essentially absent.
Mostly preclinical (animal/in-vitro) evidence with a clear mechanism. Human effects are largely anecdotal.
Controlled trials & clinical data in people
No controlled human trials for the synthetic fragment used in research peptides.
Preclinical results in animal models
Well-documented healing and cardiac-repair effects in animal models.
How plausibly it works at a biological level
Actin upregulation and cell migration are well described mechanistically.
Depth of documented safety in humans
Generally tolerated in animals; human safety data is lacking.
Athletes with chronic injuries, post-surgery recovery, anyone seeking systemic healing
Loading phase: 2mg twice weekly for 4-6 weeks. Maintenance: 2mg once weekly. Frequently stacked with BPC-157.
Women with sports injuries or chronic inflammation needing systemic healing
Same protocol as men — TB-500 has no sex-specific dosing differences. No hormonal interactions.

Rotate sites and use clean technique; usually minor.
Typically transient — ease the loading dose if needed.
Hydrate; lower the dose if it persists.
