Anxiolytic peptide with no sedation or dependence — anxiety relief without the downsides.
Selank is a synthetic Russian peptide based on tuftsin, an immune-modulating fragment of an antibody. Like Semax it is used intranasally and is registered in Russia — in Selank's case as an anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) medicine.
It is best known for taking the edge off anxiety without the sedation, cognitive fog or dependence associated with benzodiazepines. It appears to work by modulating GABA and serotonin signaling and stabilizing enkephalins, while also influencing immune and inflammatory balance.
Many users report a calm, clear-headed effect — anxiety relief that can coexist with focus rather than dulling it. Outside Russia it is a research peptide.
Calms anxiety without sedation, fog or dependence.
Russian clinical use as an anxiolytic; consistent anecdotal reports
Smooths stress reactivity and supports a steadier mood.
Animal and Russian clinical data; limited Western trials
By lowering anxiety it can indirectly improve concentration.
Anecdotal; often stacked with Semax for this reason
We rate every peptide honestly across four dimensions — and tell you what it's not.
Evidence Profile
An anxiolytic peptide with Russian clinical history; human data exists but is limited outside that context.
Promising but early. Strong animal data and/or small/preliminary human studies, not yet confirmed in robust trials.
Controlled trials & clinical data in people
Russian human studies for anxiety; limited independent replication.
Preclinical results in animal models
Anxiolytic and immune-modulating effects shown in animals.
How plausibly it works at a biological level
Tuftsin-analogue effects on GABA/serotonin and immune signaling proposed.
Depth of documented safety in humans
No dependence/sedation reported clinically; long-term Western data limited.
Men with situational anxiety or stress who want calm without sedation or dependence
Intranasal dosing; non-habit-forming in research to date. Frequently paired with Semax (calm + focus).
Women seeking gentle, non-sedating anxiety and mood support
Well tolerated with no hormonal interactions reported. Start low intranasally. Avoid in pregnancy without guidance.

Alternate nostrils; don't over-spray. A saline rinse between doses can help.
Usually mild and short-lived; lower frequency if persistent.
Dose earlier in the day; reduce dose if jittery.
