What It Is

Kisspeptin-10 is a fragment of kisspeptin, the master upstream signal of the reproductive hormone axis. It tells the hypothalamus to release GnRH, which in turn drives LH and FSH and ultimately the sex hormones — sitting at the very top of the cascade.

Because it acts upstream, researchers are studying it for libido and reproductive health in ways that feel more physiological than directly dosing downstream hormones. Brain-imaging studies have shown kisspeptin enhances activity in regions tied to sexual and emotional processing in both men and women.

It has a short half-life and is an emerging compound; human use is early and dosing is still being characterized, but its position at the top of the axis makes it genuinely interesting.
