The beginner-friendly GHRP for sleep quality, recovery, and anti-aging.
Ipamorelin is a selective growth-hormone-releasing peptide (a GHRP, or ghrelin-receptor agonist). It signals the pituitary to release a clean pulse of your own growth hormone — mimicking the body's natural secretion rather than replacing it.
What made Ipamorelin popular is its selectivity. Older GHRPs like GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 also spike cortisol, prolactin and hunger; Ipamorelin produces a comparable GH pulse with minimal effect on those, which is why it is considered the beginner-friendly, side-effect-light option.
It is almost always paired with a GHRH such as CJC-1295 or Sermorelin. The two act through different receptors, and together produce a larger, more natural GH release than either alone — the classic CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin stack.
A GH pulse before bed supports deeper, more restorative slow-wave sleep.
GH physiology supports it; consistent anecdotal reports
Gradual gains in recovery, lean mass and fat metabolism over months.
Mechanistically sound; aesthetic data is limited and gradual
Used in longevity-minded protocols to nudge an age-declining GH axis.
Reasonable physiology; long-term outcome data is thin

Evidence Profile
A selective growth-hormone secretagogue with real pharmacology in humans, but outcome benefits (sleep, recovery) are mostly anecdotal.
Promising but early. Strong animal data and/or small/preliminary human studies, not yet confirmed in robust trials.
Controlled trials & clinical data in people
Human pharmacology studies confirm GH release; outcome trials are limited.
Preclinical results in animal models
Consistent GH-releasing effects across animal studies.
How plausibly it works at a biological level
Well-characterized selective ghrelin-receptor agonism with minimal cortisol/prolactin.
Depth of documented safety in humans
Favorable short-term tolerability; long-term GH-axis effects less studied.
Men new to GH peptides who want better sleep, recovery and slow recomposition with few side effects
Inject before bed on an empty stomach for the strongest pulse. Best stacked with CJC-1295. Effects build over 8–12+ weeks.
Women wanting gentle recovery, sleep and anti-aging support
Well tolerated with no hormonal interactions reported — a common, low-risk entry into GH peptides. Avoid in pregnancy.

Often eases as you adjust; lower the dose if bothersome.
A carpal-tunnel-like effect from fluid shifts — reduce dose if it persists.
Plan meals around dosing; more pronounced with GHRP-6/GHRP-2.
Dose before bed; lower the dose if daytime grogginess occurs.
Monitor fasting glucose and HbA1c; especially relevant if pre-diabetic.
